Shit Happens is a showcase of The University of Salford Styling And Image Making (UOSSAIM) final year work. UOSSAIM is a progressive programme focussed on nurturing individual creativity. Shit Happens is a moving-happy-sad-subversive-questioning-celebrating exhibition of individual journeys, which taken together, are part of a bigger story documenting a generation of young people now.
“It’s their youth and energy that contributes to these images that express the things that somehow affect you deeper at that age – isolation, not fitting in, confronting sexuality, feeling both wanted and unwanted. All of those elements bristle in bedrooms and bucolic landscapes and are grounded with a sense of reality. It’s how fashion images can go deep without losing out on aesthetic. Long live UOSSAIM!” Susie Lau, Style Bubble.
