“Our Neighbourhood”
The Red Gallery and St Monica’s Primary School are set to launch an exhibition of drawings done by the pupils of St Monica’s Primary school around the theme of “Our Neighbourhood”
On Friday 6th of July at morning assembly a special presentation of the works chosen by the children themselves thru their school council will take place. At the school assembly there will prizes given to those children’s whose work will be exhibited on the walls of the Red Market on Old Street.
"Our Neighbourhood" aims to develop further the Red Gallery's commitment to promoting art from within the East London community and the event will provide a platform for the children of St Monica’s to express and share their creativity to a wider field.
The highlights of “Our Neighbourhood” will be the installation of best drawings that were chosen by children of St Monica’s on the outside walls of the Red Market on Old Street one of East London’s best known and busiest thoroughfare, a charming reminder to every visitor to Shoreditch area that real communities exist and live here with real dreams and their own aspirations.
